This afternoon we went to our neighbor's two year old birthday party and we had a great time. Punkin and K were born about six weeks apart and I remember at the time that six weeks seemed like an eternity. It was the difference between a lump of flesh and something that smiled at me. Now, six weeks goes by in the blink of an eye and is really the same age.
These days, Punkin and our neighbor, K, go to the same school and have played together a lot. Punkin tends to be a little enamored of K's older brother, but today was all about K. Her parents had a moon bounce, balloons, and a ball crawl! Awesome! I defy anyone to go to my neighbor's party and not feel a little happier at the end. :) My neighbor Jen (K's mom) is a great mix of energy, realism, and humor. I like being around her. She reminds me of my sisters.
Afterward, we decorated our tree, which was pretty fun and got us a little more holiday spirit. (More about that probably tomorrow.) Hope you all had a good end to your weekend.

That picture is perfect! The static in the hair and the look on her face all scream "great party!"
Cute picture! Man, kids today have all of the fun we never had moon bounces at birthday parties when I was a kid! I hear through the grapevine that Arlington County actually rents them for parties at a reduced rate, which I think is really cool!
